CT River Run 2003 Acknowledgements The Fifth Annual CT River Run was held on Oct 18, 2003. We were treated to a vast array of hi performance boats. Everything from an 8 foot Mouse Boat with a 260 Merc jet drive to a 36 foot Spectre with a GPS speedo for the passengers! 300 Mercs and big blocks were everywhere along with a fire breathing Turbine Boat. Per usual, Hydrostreams ruled with 20+ boats followed by Actions (8) and STVs and Skaters (5 each). Some busted fiberglass and a couple of blown motors put a
damper on a few of the guys day but most people said this was the best run
yet. Id like to thank the following: Warren Elliot for co-hosting and donating the burgers and dogs. Greg Terzian <www.ScreamandFly.com> and Mark Casper <www.Hydrostream.org> for getting the word out and posting pictures John Fleck for letting us invade their beach yet again. Dan Fleck for his help at the beach. Deb Leidemer, Kathy Stevens, Dick Owen and Brad Snow for getting everybody signed in. Russ Johnson, Dan Toce , Carl Johnson , Randy Main and Sebastian LaBella for helping out thru out the day . Helmut Freitag and Deb Johnson for donating food at the ramp. No Anchovies Pizza (Cromwell, CT) Joe and Doug did a great job getting 45 pizzas to the beach on time. Dennis Cunningham for towing services. Dan Crisafulli for providing the video crew (Mike & Jen) a fast stable ride. Mack (The Knife) Hadden for giving our host at the beach
John Fleck and his son Dan a ride to Hartford and back. He also gave my friend
Randy (boatless for the day) a ride back to the ramp. Theyre still talking about that awesome Skater. A special thanks to ALL the people who assisted fellow
boaters in need, you guys are the best! There was a $272.00 surplus in pizza donations. This money has been given to Marisas Marchers and Emily too. This is the fund raising team of my 6 and 8 years old nieces. All the money goes to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Marisa and Emily give all of you a huge THANK YOU!
