Switzer Playmate

Back in the 1970's, in my eyes, the hot boats seemed to be Hydrostream, Allison, Switzer, Baja, and Checkmate. I spent a lot of time during the summers on a Canadian lake and Hydrostream and Switzer were the two that really caught my eye. Like Hydrostreams, Switzer has a distinctive shape all its own that you can immediately identify from far away.
I recently came across a very rare Switzer which is pictured here. Not easily identified, this one does not have the typical Switzer shape. I don't know how accurate this information is, but I was told that it is a '64 Switzer Playmate which is supposedly a Switzer Shooting Star deck mated to a Switzer Holiday hull. This boat is significant in that it was the first year that Switzer used fiberglass construction.
