This 1973 Glastron Carlson CV-19 belongs to Tom Pratt. It
was bought in 1974 for $1500.00. It was originally jet powered. The boat was bought with
no power and a LS-7 454
was put in. After four years of flat cams, the engine and pump was scraped, the holes
plugged, and an outboard was hung on the back. Originally a 1976 Evinrude 200 powered her.
Then in '95 the son (Ron Pratt - V-King in background) scored on a '88 Yamaha Excel
225 for $500.00. This boat cruises around Southeast Alaska and holds 72 gallons of gas.
It has a full canvas, electric downriggers, and even a portable crab & shrimp pot
puller. This rig cruises at 47 mph and top end is 70mph. Both father and son enjoy boating
with the family and an occasional race. I'm sure you know who wins!
