Evinrude 90 Rebuild Options

I am currently in the process of rebuilding my 1997 90 HP Evinrude.  It spit a ring and scored the cylinder wall. I am guessing that the cylinder is going to have to be bored 20 to 30 over to erase the scoring.  I plan to have all 4 bored and install new pistons.  My question is since I have to bore the cylinders anyway, is there anything I can do to boost the horsepower of the engine that is inexpensive and will still maintain a reliable engine.   Darryl

If it is the new 60' Eagle Block, it is very, very expensive to correctly get more power. If it is one of the old crossflow 90' V-4's, you could port it to 115 spec. and see a decent gain in performance.
