Evinrude Spark Plugs

Hello my name is Bob and I have a 1988 Evinrude VRO 140 and it idles ruff and at low rpms it will stall, but at full or half it runs fine it's on a 1988 17 ft ranger bass boat and will run 56 mph.

I guess my question do you think it's the plugs or maybe something else, plus I was wondering it has QL78YC champion plugs but says I can run QL16V I was wondering if there are other plugs you would recommend.

Bob, 

Have the engine checked for compression and general condition, then move on to the low speed part of the carbs. The plugs are not idle related.
