Hustler Setup Hi Randy, we have a 88 hustler with a 77 short shafted 3 cylinder. It has a bob's nose cone w/ lwp. We retrofitted an OEM tilt and trim. We're running a cut down 23 pitch clever. The prop shaft is about one inch below the pad, and we're running about 50 MHP. We read your note to Brian that you were running one 70 MHP. What do we need to do to make our boat go? Ours
had a very flat bottom. One we blue printed to get the boat to take a set.
With a boat that short of a running surface, it is very important. We also
ran a 10 3/8 x 18 Chopper on the stock gearcase. The cone may cause tail
lift and make the boat run flat.
