HydroStream or Tahiti?

Dear Randy,
  I recently bought what I thought was a 1972 Hydrostream with a Mariner 200 hp engine. However, after talking to the previous owner he brought to my attention that it is in fact a Tahiti and not a Hydrostream.  Although it looks very much, almost exactly like a hydrostream there are some slight differences (in fact that’s why I bought it because my cousin had one and loved it).  So I’m very confused because I cannot find any information on it.  I would appreciate it if you can fill me in if you have any idea of what this may be. Thanks a lot.

Rumor has it - they copied an old Vector hull or something and put a different windshield on it. This was 30 years ago, but I remember seeing photos of one such hull. Post a photo and I can get a better opinion.
