Johnson 115 Low Water Pickup

Would it be a waste of time to put a low water pick-up on a late model 115 Johnson?

Chris,

Not knowing what it is on I would say don't do it. Unless you are going 80 mph the stock V-4 gearcase is fine. Sometimes the added length of a nose cone actually slows you down...the added tail lift makes the boat run flat.
