Mariner 90 Stalling Hi,
I have a 1994 90 Mariner, I have been getting it cleaned up and ready
for the summer and I have come to a problem with the engine hesitating and
stalling when I give it throttle from an idle. It has a new stator,
pickup, regulator and switch box, plugs and I cleaned the carbs and
installed kits in all three. Could you help put me on the right track to a
solution for this problem. Thanks Scott, Not
being there, I'd say you've done almost everything so far. The last thing
to look at is the spark/throttle set up. Make sure the timing is advancing
and the butterflies are not opening before the advance starts. This could
cause the scenario you describe. Also
is the compression and general engine in good shape? Things
to check.....
