'74 Merc 115 not starting

Having a problem with the 115, not starting. The motor turns over well, power tilt and trim works great. The eng, is a 1974. Compression is real good, no leaks any where.
Eng is getting fuel, no spark it seems?
 
Where do I start?

The 1979 Viper is restored. Just want to run in water soon.

Dave,

Sounds like the CDI unit. Could be the Stator or trigger assembly, but my money is on the CDI. They are famous for that type of failure.
