No Feedback Steering I'm restoring one right now and I'm about to buy the
steering gear. I'm running a
140 Evinrude that has a single cable setup and I’m wondering if the new
"Teleflex "No Feed Back" systems would allow me to get by
with a single setup. I know most people use dual but do you think
this would work being a NFB unit? I'm thinking I'll be reaching in
the low 70mph range......any advice would be great. Thank You -Jason Kotch
Jason,
I have used the "No Feed Back" and it is horrible. When there is
any torque on the wheel, the system locks up. Not what we would want on a
boat like yours. Bite the bullet and buy the dual cable system, but NOT
a "no feed back". A rack pinion system is preferred.
