V-King/Merc 200 Setup Just purchased an 87' V-King with a 200 Merc and
the current setup is as follows....Bob's LWP, Hot Foot, dual cable
steering, and it's running a 26 Pitch Quicksilver Chopper. The first thing
I plan on doing is installing solid motor mounts, but after that what else
do you see this setup requires? Oh, by the way, the motor is mounted
directly to the transom, no jackplate. I am hoping to get the boat into
the mid-80's, but still be able to launch out of the hole pretty good and
it should be able to handle a few passengers (sometimes).
Any input you could provide would be appreciated.
Jason,
Please submit whatever questions you have to IHRTechTalk@yahoo.com. All questions and answers selected will be displayed on this page as they come in. Note: though all boaters are welcome, priority may be given to I.H.R. members. Randy can not be held responsible for any advice given. Though his information and expertise is second to none, he has no control over what you do with your boat. It is up to you to boat safely and act responsibly, and his advice is only to be used as a guidance for your high performance boat/motor of which you are the one responsible for the risks involved.
