Prop for Valero YT/Merc 200 I
currently am rigging an 88 Valero YT with a 2002 200 Merc Carbs - with
Bobs nose cone on 20" shaft and jack plate. I have been reading your
postings and they have been helpful except I have no idea what prop to
run. I want TOP END but would like not to give up allot of bottom - If I
have to sacrifice bottom for top what is the best PROP. Thanks Moover, Unfortunately,
the new 200's have a Rev limiter, 5800 and it is hard to deal with. I
would run a 30" chopper and hope that it stays off the limit. If it
hits hard, you will have to send it to Sean at CDI to have it moved. I did
a HST with a 2001 - 200 and we went with a 32" chopper. The boat runs
90 plus and punches pretty good, surprisingly.
