Vandal with 115 OMC Hello randy, I recently bought my first Hydrostream this past December, an 82'
vandal with no motor. I just aquired a 115 hp evinrude for it.
Here’s my question where should I start with as far as props go? I’ve
looked at the questions for vipers w/v4s, but the viper is a heavier
boat, do vandals like the Yamaha drag props and inline choppers too? John, The
Vandal and the Viper are very much the same when it comes to the V-4 set
up. I raced a Vandal for a few years. I like the way the boat turns and it
doesn't bounce at mid speeds like the Viper. The boats are closer in
weight than you think. I ran a 26 pitch Yamaha drag prop back then, but a
chopper would work also. Search for a 24 or 26 of either and start there.
