Vector/Merc 80 needs Speed We have a 1977 vector with a 1980 80 horse merc with
tilt and trim but no jackplate and we are running at about 40 mph we want
to get more speed and would like to try a different prop which do you
recommend for this setup. Try
a 22 pitch Laser II Mercury Prop. This should get you to the mid to high
40’s. You will need that much pitch because of the 2.33 to 1 gear ration
of the 80 hp Merc.
