Vector Pad Randy I'm
sure I don't have to tell you about all the different opinions
concerning the pad on a vector. Fill
it / don't fill it / leave the hook / fill the hook What's
your opinion?
Brady, My
opinion is, the only advantage to filling the pad and removing the hook
is: 1.
It drives a little easier, and 2.
It turns better. The
bad effects are less acceleration, because believe it or not, the hook
acts like a wedge and lifts the boat up and clear faster. It is harder to
drive and setup, but ultimately it is quicker as it was designed for max
efficiency with low horsepower. It carries passengers a little better with
the flat pad though.

It is up to you to boat safely and act responsibly, and his advice is only to be used as a guidance for your high performance boat/motor of which you are the one responsible for the risks involved.
