Vector Performance part II Hello again I was
thinking about what I just wrote to you about my 1982 vector w/johnson
200, the boat runs best with the 24 raker and I can feel the hull break
away, how bout some set up info for the raker and the choppers too, will
the engine height be different for the raker than the big ear chopper?
propshat to bottom of boat? I don’t have lwp, Thanks again Tim
Tim, No
matter how hard we try, your gearcase as it is, is always going to be a
huge compromise. A noseconed gearcase with a torque tab is the only
way to fly. Compare it to having really bad tires on a Ferrari.
They may work, but it doesn't seem to handle very well. Go for the
trick radials and get the coned case.
Please submit whatever questions you have to IHRTechTalk@yahoo.com. All questions and answers selected will be displayed on this page as they come in. Note: though all boaters are welcome, priority may be given to I.H.R. members. Randy can not be held responsible for any advice given. Though his information and expertise is second to none, he has no control over what you do with your boat. It is up to you to boat safely and act responsibly, and his advice is only to be used as a guidance for your high performance boat/motor of which you are the one responsible for the risks involved. Thanks,
