Vector Prop

Hi Randy, I have an 86 vector with a 135L merc. The last time we spoke you advised me to learn to master the chinewalking before adding performance. I have since been able to do that and I am totally in love with this boat. Its the most fun I have ever had with my pants on!!!  I can now run the boat to top speed at will, which is 76 mph on the speedo at 65 to 6600 rpm. I am now looking for a new prop and would appreciate any suggestions. I am currently running a 25 pitch laser 3 blade. Seems to be good all around. I am not as concerned with overall performance as with top end. I think that this boat will do over 80 mph with the right wheel. Thank you for all your help as I have saved loads of time by using your expertise. Thanks again

P.S. the boat has 5 inch setback manual jackplate, land & sea nosecone, feedback steering, wheel mounted trim buttons, low water pickup, cc heads, plastic reeds, exhaust tuner. 150 to 160 hp. Foot throttle. Thanks again

Try a 14x28 Hoss Triton. With your setup, this prop would give you more mph and probably punch better also. The rest of your setup sounds good. The Tritons work good almost every time, so I feel confident it will exceed your expectations.
