Vision/Suzuki 200 Setup Hi! I just
buy a 1989 Canadian edition vision, 1989 Suzuki 200hp exante, Suzuki
prop 26pitch by 14.25 but I measured 13.75. Motor
is mount right on the boat (no jack plate) the fuel tank is in front (16
gallons) battery at the back in the center, the motor is mount on the first
hole because I don’t have low water pick up, I test the boat
like that and I can pull a skier with 3 person in the boat, and I do 70mph
at 6200rpm with horrible chine walk when I trim. I order a double cable to
reduce the slack on the steering but not tested (I buy like that
with only 1 cable). I want to run safely at 80mph and pull a skier, I
know I can do 90mph but its not my goal for now, I don’t want to
spend a lot of money for a small gain. My
questions are: I need low water pickup to raise the motor? I
need a nose cone?
The tank can stay in the front? Which
prop you recommend (diameter and pitch)? Thank
you in advance for your suggestion and good explanation. You’re the king!!! Martin, First
we need to get that dual steering installed. Then work on mastering the
chine walk. It will only get more intense the faster you go. After you've
become good at the boat then try a 28 or 29 pitch prop and see where that
takes you. Save
your money on accessories till you get thru this first part.
