Jackplate for Vista/Nissan Hi Randy,
I am considering putting a 6" manual jackplate on my Canadian Edition
Vista with a Nissan NS90A. I have never installed a jackplate before
and was wondering what is the correct procedure. At what height
should I install it, would you set it so that the 'normal' height of the
motor (what it is now) is in the middle of the height adjustment range?
Mark,
Start
with the height in the middle but most important is the steering and
general clearances. You will find some interesting compromises will have
to be made to ensure clearance when tilted fully and turned etc. Bolt it
on and check everything out, then go have some fun.
