Vista Props

I have just got a '89 Canadian Edition Vista (V hull) with a Nissan 90 HP.  I am running with a stock 18" Nissan prop.  The anti-cav plate is about level with the pad and I have a power trim.  I am getting WOT of 5500RPM and a speedometer reading of 45 MPH, I also have tried a stock 20" but the RPM will only get to 5000 so the end result is about the same.   Is this about the best I can expect? Although I've been around boats for a while I'm new to performance tuning so any suggestions for improvement would be welcomed.

If this boat was mine, I would try to get a 18 or 20" OMC Raker propeller used for the Johnson and Evinrude V-4's.  I would try running this prop about 1 1/2" higher than you are now.  If memory serves me right, the Nissan motor has an OMC spline.  It has been so long since I have worked on a Nissan, I would double check this with your local Nissan dealer to make sure.  If I am wrong, and it has the same spline as a Merc, then I would try to find an 18 or 20" Laser 2 propeller.  This should get you into the 50 MPH+ bracket.
